Admission Requirements & Eligibility Criteria
Don Bosco College, Diphu — which includes Don Bosco Senior Secondary School (Higher Secondary Section) and Don Bosco Degree College — offers admission to deserving students based on eligibility, proper documentation, and timely fee payment.
Eligibility Criteria
For Higher Secondary (HS) Courses:
- Students must have passed the Class X Examination under SEBA, CBSE, or any recognized board.
- Science Stream: Minimum 70% aggregate with at least 55 marks in Science Theory and Maths Theory.
- Arts & Commerce Streams: Minimum 45% aggregate.
- Students from other boards must submit a Migration Certificate (original) after admission.
- Early admission is allowed before results; however, stream changes may be required based on marks.
For Degree Courses (B.A. & B.Com Honours):
- Students must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination under AHSEC, CBSE, or any recognized board.
- Students applying for provisional admission before results may shift to another Honours subject after results if marks do not meet the required criteria.
- Students from other boards must also submit their Migration Certificate after admission.
Admission Requirements
Application Form:
- Available at the College/School Office on payment of ₹500.
- HS students can also apply online through the DARPAN Portal (https://darpan.ahseconline.in/login) of AHSEC.
Documents to be Submitted:
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Class X Admit Card, Registration Card, Mark Sheet, and Pass Certificate
- (For Degree courses) Class XII Admit Card, Registration Card, Mark Sheet, and Pass Certificate
- Transfer and Character Certificates from the last institution attended
- Birth Certificate
- ST/SC/OBC Certificate (if applicable)
- Migration Certificate (for students from other boards, to be submitted later)
- Certificates of co-curricular achievements (if any)
Form Submission & Verification:
- Forms must be submitted soon after result declaration.
- Incomplete or false information will lead to rejection.
- Original documents must be produced for verification during the interview.
Interview / Admission Test:
- Candidates will be informed if an interview or test is required.
- Admission is granted to students who meet eligibility and document criteria.
Fee Payment:
- Selected students must pay the admission fees within the prescribed date to confirm admission.
- Failure to pay within the due date will cancel the admission.
