DON BOSCO COLLEGE HOSTELS
Don Bosco Junior College has three hostels:
a) Bishop Mathai Hostel (for Boys) with a capacity of 150 seats
b) Sophia Hostel (for Girls) with a capacity of 120 seats
c) Helena Hostel (for Girls) with a capacity of 150 seats
The hostels provide an ideal atmosphere of a ‘home away from home’. The primary aim of the hostels is the integral formation of all its inmates through the inculcation of the values of academic excellence, discipline, hard work, godliness and service.
The hostels will instil in the inmates a sense of community and a spirit of tolerance that will ensure orderly and peaceful living which are absolutely essential for ensuring a healthy environment for study and self development.
1. HOSTEL ADMISSION
Application for admission to the hostel should be made in the prescribed form which is available from the respective hostels on payment of Rs. 200.
The completed form is to be submitted to the hostels by the Parent/Guardian after the son/daughter/ward has been formally admitted in the College.
The right of admission to the Hostels is reserved and admission will be granted at the discretion of the Wardens / College authorities.
A keen sense of self-discipline, an above average capacity for sustained study and an honest desire to live with members of other communities are necessary conditions to get a seat in the hostel and retain it.

Hostellers are required to bring the following personal items to the hostel:
- Sufficient sets of clothes
- Bed sheets (4), pillowcases (2), towels (2), mosquito net (1)
(Mattresses & pillows will be supplied by the hostel)
- Bucket (2), mug (1), Plate, Cup, Glass, etc.
- Toilet articles
- Broom (purchasable at campus) – 1
- Rechargeable Solar Table Lamp – 1
